We closely monitor the COVID-19 epidemic in Denmark via the Statens Serum Institut and follow its and the WHO's recommendations and guidelines regarding limitation of COVID-19 spread.

The safety and security of our guests and colleagues is of the utmost importance, and we do everything we can to limit the spread of COVID-19 in line with Danish government measures.

Current cancellation policy:

All individual bookings can be canceled up to 12 hours before arrival. Note: This policy does not apply to group bookings.

Upgraded cleaning standards:

High standards of hygiene and cleanliness are crucial, and we take both necessary and extra initiatives to ensure our guests optimal safety. We are constantly working to ensure that all instructions on optimal hygiene and cleaning are followed meticulously. We perform ongoing health and safety procedures designed to tackle a wide range of viruses, including COVID-19.

Including:

• Hand hygiene: Thorough and regular hand washing is critical to prevent the spread of COVID-19. We remind all our colleagues daily that cleanliness starts with hand washing. The health and safety of our guests depends on it.

• Ongoing training: All Egn Bed and Breakfast employees have completed extended training in preventing COVID-19 proliferation.

• Rooms & Suites: Egn Bed and Breakfast uses cleaning and disinfection procedures with ECOLAB products, which have been shown to be particularly effective against the COVID-19 virus, to clean rooms and suites before and after each stay, paying particular attention to objects that are touched.

• Public areas: Egn Bed and Breakfasthas increased the frequency of cleaning and disinfection in the public areas of the hotel with a focus on reception, lifts and lift buttons, door handles, toilets and electronic room keys.

• Staff areas: Egn Bed and Breakfast has increased the frequency of cleaning staff areas, such as staff entrances, changing rooms, linen rooms and administration offices, focusing on regularly affected items.

To protect the safety of our guests, we make masks and rubbing alcohol available in all our rooms, which our guests can use as needed.

​

Everyone in Denmark is obliged to wear a mask on public transport and taxis. You are also required to wear a mask when entering and leaving restaurants, bars and cafes, including our restaurant Restaurant Egn. When sitting at your table, you can safely take off your mask.

​

These rules have been set by the Danish government, and we thank all guests for their understanding and cooperation.

​

Masks can also be bought at our reception for 30 kroner per package containing ten masks.

​

All our staff at the hotel wear masks; as long as the Danish government recommends this.

​

Egn Bed and Breakfast also follows the global protocol for safety and hygiene for Covid-19 developed by the Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne Advisory Services.
